Carol Fipps
is the Owner/Director of Studio C Academy of Dance since it was
established in 1996. Carol is originally from Los Angeles,
California where she graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Dance and has also earned her degree in Secondary
Education from Cal Poly Pomona. While attending UCLA, she was a
member of the UCLA Dance Company and studied the modern dance
techniques of Martha Graham, Jose Limon and Merce Cunningham. |
| After college, Carol pursued her
dance career in the entertainment industry and worked with many well
known choreographers, dancers and singers. She has performed in many
parts of the United States and several parts of the world such as
England, Greece, Amsterdam, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong. She has
toured as a dancer for James Brown and the Beach Boys. Carol has appeared in music videos,
and television specials for Michael Jackson (Black or White), The
Beach Boys (Hot Fun in the Summertime), James Brown (King of Soul),
Garth Brooks (Country Music Countdown) and many others. Carol has
also appeared as a dancer on The Arsenio Hall Show, General Hospital
and commercials for Pepsi with Ray Charles. She was also a 6 year
member (1989-95) of the NBA Los Angeles Clipper Spirit Dance Team.
Carol was also a full-time faculty member at Walnut High School in
Southern California from 1993-96 and was the Director of the
National Championship Walnut HS Dance Team.
Since moving to Idaho, she
established a dance program and the dance team at Skyview HS in
Nampa (1996-98) and has been the Director for the CBA Idaho Stampede
Dance Team (1997-2001) and (2002-03).
Carol has earned numerous
choreography awards from such dance competitions as LA Danceforce,
USA Dance Classic, Dance Unlimited and Spotlight Dance Cup with her
work with the Studio C Company Dancers. She is happily married and a
mother of 3 children. |

Kimberly Markus
(aka Miss Kimber) is a graduate of Boise State University with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and has also earned her
degree in Secondary Education. While attending Boise State she was
a 4 year member and Dance Captain of the BSU Maneline Dancers. Kimberly also served as an instructor
and adjudicator for the United Spirit Association for 7 years and
has taught dance in Hawaii, California, Texas, Utah, Washington,
Oregon and Idaho. She is most recognized for her many
accomplishments as a coach for the National Championship Centennial
High School Sweet Liberty Dance Team. |
| Kimber has been a faculty member at
Studio C since 1997 and she also works with the Studio C Elementary,
Youth and Junior Company Dancers. Her performing groups have earned
numerous High Score awards and she has received Outstanding
Choreography awards at Dance Unlimited and Spotlight Dance Cup. “Miss Kimber” is adored by her many
students due to her love for her students and her amazing ability to
communicate to her students at their level. She is happily married
and a mother of 6 children. |

Sarah Gabbard is originally from Liverpool, England. She is recognized as an
Associate of the Royal Academy of Dancing (ARAD) and has taught classical ballet for many schools including the
Liverpool Theatre School. Sarah has trained with full scholarships at the Chiltern
Casting School and the Legat School, both in England; and at the Manche Academie de Danse Classique in France under
Royal Ballet trained teachers, Tina Young and David Picken. |

She has served as Dance Captain, performed as a Swing covering all dance roles, and had a singing role as "Meg Giry" in
Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, Germany from 1995-2000.
From 1992-1995 she was a member of the touring company Weiner Ballet Theater where she
performed soloist roles in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, and the Viennese Gala in both Germany and
Switzerland. She also danced the role of "Cinderella" with Ballet de la Baie of Normany, France.
Sarah is currently in her 4th year of teaching ballet at Studio C. She resides in Boise with
her husband, David, and their daughter, Mila. |

Heidi Wilson
has had a love for dance ever since the
age of five when she began her first dance lesson. She grew up in
Boise and graduated from Centennial High School, where she served as
team captain during 2002-2003. During this time, Heidi placed in
many solo competitions at the State, Regional, and National levels.
She was crowned Miss Pacific Northwest in 2003.
Heidi continued her dance career during college as a three year
member of the Nationally ranked Boise State Mane Line Dancers. She
has taught at Studio C since 2003 and working with the Petite
Company has been one of her favorite experiences. |
For the past three years, Heidi has been
the coach of the Centennial High Sweet Liberty Dance Team and is
currently still pursuing this occupation. During her time as coach,
Heidi has choreographed many team routines, seven of which have won
1st place National titles.
Heidi is currently finishing her Bachelor Degree at Boise State in
Business Administration and is happily married to her husband Chase. |

Michelle Kresge - National Director and
Co-Founder of Spotlight Events, Inc., Michelle has been in the dance world all of her life, with over 30 years of dance
training, performing, and professional choreography experience. She comes from a family of 7 children, all of whom
started their training in their mother’s dance studio.
Michelle has taught all dance forms and directed her own successful dance studio for a number of years. |
| As
a competitor and choreographer, Michelle has won numerous awards on a Regional and National level. She is also a
recognized dance, drill, and talent adjudicator. In addition to her dance
background, Michelle possesses a vast business background. She served as a Vice President for a 2.5 billion dollar
financial institution for over 10 years.
Michelle is also an accomplished musician, including voice, piano and saxophone, and is active in her church
organization. She and her husband, Robert, are parents to three beautiful children. |
