We encourage students who would like to excel at a faster pace to enroll in both Ballet and Jazz Technique classes. this will help increase the dancer's skill and muscle development.

NOTE: Students in 2nd grade and above are required to enroll in a minimum of 2 classes (1 jazz AND 1 ballet) per week. Any students in 2nd grade and above who register for 1 class per week will be put on a wait list and will be notified if there is space available.

Dress Code:

BAGGY T-SHIRTS, PJ PANTS, BOXER SHORTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY BALLET, JAZZ OR TAP CLASSES.
Cover ups such as leg warmers and sweats may be worn for the first 5-10 minutes of class.
Students not dressed appropriately to class may be asked to sit and watch class.
Proper dance attire is important in enhancing a proper learning environment in dance class.

Class Descriptions:

  • Baby Bee Bop  

A 30 minute class designed for preschoolers ages 2-3. Students will learn creative movement, ballet and jazz. Students will also learn classroom etiquette such as raising your hand, taking turns and respecting others.
Dress: Light pink leotard with pink full sole ballet shoes and bobby socks. A short skirt attached or unattached to the leotard may be worn. Keep skirt length mid-thigh and above. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Fairytale 

A 45 minute class designed for preschoolers ages 3-4. Students will learn creative movement, ballet and jazz. Students will also learn classroom etiquette such as raising your hand, taking turns and respecting others.

  • Kindergarten Ballet/Jazz Combination 

A 45 minute class designed especially for kindergarten students. Students will learn both ballet and jazz technique. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered.
Dress: Light pink leotard with pink full sole ballet shoes and bobby socks. A short skirt attached or unattached to the leotard may be worn. Keep skirt length mid-thigh and above. Hair pulled off the face and neck.

 

  • 1st Grade Ballet/Jazz Combo 

A 60 minute class designed especially for 1st grade students. Students will learn both ballet and jazz technique.
Dress: Light pink leotard with pink full sole ballet shoes and bobby socks. A short skirt attached or unattached to the leotard may be worn. Keep skirt length mid-thigh and above. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Jazz  (Level 2)  (class placement required)

A 45 minute class for students ages 7-9. Students will focus on jazz technique. Students must also enroll in a Level 2 ballet class.
Dress: Light blue leotard with lycra booty shorts or jazz pants with black split sole jazz shoes. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Jazz  (Levels 3 - 4)  (class placement required)

A 60 minute class for students ages 8-12. Students will focus on jazz technique. Students must also enroll in a Level 3 or Level 4 ballet class.
Dress: Light blue leotard with lycra booty shorts or jazz pants with black split sole jazz shoes. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Jazz  (Levels 5 - 6 - 7)  (class placement required)

A 60 minute class designed for Intermediate to Advanced students ages 12 and up.
Dress: Dark colored leotard with lycra booty shorts or jazz pants with black split sole jazz shoes and bare feet. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Ballet  (Level 2)  (class placement required)

A 45 minute class for students ages 7-9. Students will focus on classical ballet technique. Jazz class is not required.
Dress: Light blue leotard and pink tights with pink split sole ballet shoes. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Ballet  (Levels 3 - 4)  (class placement required)

A 45 & 60 minute class for students ages 8-12. Students will focus on classical ballet technique. Jazz class is not required.
Dress: Light blue leotard and pink tights with pink split sole ballet shoes. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Ballet  (Levels 5 - 6 - 7)  (class placement required)

A 60 minute class designed for Intermediate to Advanced students ages 12 and up. Students will focus on classical ballet technique.
Dress: Dark colored leotard (i.e. black, burgundy, brown, dark blue) and pink tights with split sole pink ballet shoes. Hair pulled off the face in a bun.

 
  • Pointe 1  (teacher approval)

A 45 minute class designed for Level 6 and Level 7 ballet students who wish to dance on Pointe. Teacher approval required for this class. Students must also enroll in Level 6 or Level 7 ballet.
Dress: Dark colored leotard (burgundy, black, brown, dark blue) and pink tights with split sole pink ballet shoes. Pointe shoes are required per teacher approval. Hair pulled off the face in a bun.


  • Pointe 2  (teacher approval)

A 45 minute class designed for Level 7 ballet students who wish to dance on Pointe. Teacher approval required for this class. Students must also enroll in Level 7 ballet.
Dress: Dark colored leotard (burgundy, black, brown, dark blue) and pink tights with Pointe shoes. Hair pulled off the face in a bun.


  • Hip Hop

A 45 minute class designed to increase the students rhythmic and coordination skills. Students will focus on learning many fun upbeat combinations, which increases the students’ ability to learn dance combinations quickly. Ballet and/or jazz technique is not taught in this class.
Dress: Activewear such as sweatpants, nylon warm ups, tank tops, t-shirts, leotards and primarily white athletic shoes (no slip on shoes). Hair pulled off the face.

 
  • Lyrical

A 1 hour class designed to help dancers develop continuity in their dancing. Students will focus on learning lyrical style choreography which is more fluid in motion as well as contemporary in nature. Students will develop better extensions through their bodylines.
Dress: Dark colored leotard or dance top with lycra booty shorts or jazz pants with black split sole jazz shoes and bare feet. Hair pulled off the face and neck.


  • Tap

A 45-60 minute class designed for students who want learn to make many rhythmic sounds through such tap steps as shuffles, flaps and pull backs to name a few.
Dress: Dance clothing with tap shoes. Black Mary Jane tap shoes for Tap Level 1. Jazz oxford tap shoes for all tap classes. Hair pulled off the face and neck.

 
  • Fitness

A1 hour class designed to help students develop both stamina and strength for dancing. Students will participate in cardiovascular exercises as well as stretch and strengthening exercises.
Dress: Activewear such as sweatpants, nylon warm ups, tank tops, t-shirts, leotards and primarily white athletic shoes (no slip on shoes). Hair pulled off the face.
